Mean Well Announces 75~100W Medical / Industrial PCB Series

November 26, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

Mean Well Ent. Co. Ltd. launched another 5" x 3" low profile PCB type switching power supply – the RPS/D/T-75 series – targeted at medical and IT applications which require a miniature size. Mean Well also offers several models from 45, 65, 125, to 200W. The new RPS/D/T-75 series fills the product gap between 75~100W, providing end users with a complete choice for all kinds of applications.

Complying with both medical and industrial agency standards, these units can deliver their full rated output of 75W with only free air convection and up to 100W by providing 23.5CFM forced air. Featuring only 200µA of leakage current at 264Vac, they can be equipped into non-patient contact medical equipment and still comply with Class B EMI regulations. Standard functions include short circuit, over load, over voltage protections, and the operating temperature can be as high as 70° under forced air convection.

The RPS/D/T-75 are all RoHS compliant and the no load power consumption for single output models is as low as 0.75W. Since the height is only 30.5mm, the RPS/D/T -75 series are suitable for 1U installations or other height-constraint applications. General medical usage that requires low leakage current, general electronic application, and low profile IT equipment are all suitable for applying this miniature product series.
