Martek Releases 2000SN Series DC/DC Converters

November 28, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Martek Power (Los Angeles, CA) announced the release of a new series of high-efficiency, open-frame dc/dc converters, the 2000SN Series. The new dc/dc converters are industry-standard, 1in x 2in, on-board converters that provide 30 percent more power than conventional products in the same footprint.

Utilizing synchronous rectification, the 400kHz switching converters provide for up to 90 percent efficiency, thereby reducing system cooling requirements. With an input-voltage range of 36Vdc to 75Vdc, the single-output 2000SN Series provide between 9W to 20W of power depending on output voltage.

Standard output voltages include 1.5V, 1.8V, 2V, 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V models, providing between 6A to 4A of output current, respectively. Protection features include an input under-voltage lock out, continuous short-circuit protection and a non-latching output over-voltage protection circuit. Optional features available on the series include remote on/off logic and output-voltage trim allowing the user to vary the preset output voltage by ±10 percent.

Delivery is stock to four weeks with pricing below $25 in OEM quantities.
