MagneTek Presents New MAG48V200A Rectifier

MagneTek Inc. (Nashville, TN) announced its new MAG48V200A rectifier, which delivers 7.4W/in³ in a 5.25in x 17.33in x 19in unit suitable for 19in or 23in rack mounting in telecom and industrial applications. The 48V, 200A device also features >90 percent efficiency, <5 percent total harmonic distortion and a minimum mean time between failures of 250,000h.

The three-phase rectifier features an N+1 redundant design and active power-factor correction, meeting the Bellcore and IEC standards. The device can be operated digitally in remote-mode via the RS-485, analogically in trimming-mode via analog input and in local-mode via the unit's built-in keypad. The device also features built-in self-protecting circuitry, under-voltage, surge and lightning protection, and a full complement of alarms. The rectifier is modular and hot-pluggable, and allows as many as 60 units to be connected in parallel to provide outputs of up to 12kA.
