Magnetek Inc. (Chatsworth, CA) announced the release of its new HP750 Series front-end power supply, which measures only 1.6in x 5in x 10in, producing 9.38W/in³ power density. An optional I2C interface with interrupt capability is available for system management and monitoring for highly integrated error monitoring and analysis.

The HP750 Series with standard rear-mount ac connection is designed to operate either as a standalone unit or as an integral part of a distributed power system in telecommunications networks, data storage systems, high-end servers, and medical and industrial products. The product provides a single, isolated output of up to 750W total with outputs ranging from 12V to 48V and 90% efficiency. The HP750 products have wide input ranging from 85Vac to 264Vac and can handle frequencies from 47Hz to 63Hz. Harmonic performance is compliant with EN61000-3-2. Protection features include over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature.

Evaluation units of the new models are available in two weeks, with production quantities available eight weeks ARO. Pricing for the HP750 Series is $442 in OEM quantities.
