Lambda Releases PAH300S Series Power Modules
Lambda Electronics Inc. (San Diego, CA) released its PAH300S Series of 300W dc-dc power modules, which are primarily designed for use in next-generation, W-CDMA and CDMA2000 mobile communications systems. The PAH300S Series is packaged in the industry-standard, half-brick design, and delivers 300W at efficiencies of up to 90%, with the 28V nominal output adjustable from 16.8V to 33V.
Available in either a nominal 48V input (36V to 76V) or a nominal 24V input (18V to 36V), the modules will operate at 100°C baseplate temperatures. The availability of threaded-hole or clearance-hole mounting inserts allows the unit to be cooled using a cold plate or with a standard heatsink.
The family of converters also contains a nominal 12V model with an adjustment range of 7.2V to 13.2V. Pricing for the PAH300S Series starts at $86 for 100-piece quantities.
