Isolated 0.25W DC-DCs with High Efficiency at Light Loads

Mornsun recently released the BxxxxS-W2R2 series aiming to help customer eliminate the problem of low efficiency at light load. When load current is 50mA, B0505S-W2R2 provides about high efficiency of 70%+ (reference: <60% in the market); When load current is 10mA, it provides about efficiency of 50%+ (reference: 25% in the market).

These dc-dc converters are available with input voltages of 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15-, and 24-Vdc and single outputs of 3.3-, 5-, 9-, and 12-Vdc. The BxxxxS-W2R2 series are specially designed for applications where an isolated voltage is required in a distributed power supply system.

They are suitable for: 1.Where the voltage of the input power supply is stable (voltage variation: ±10%Vin); 2.Where isolation between input and output is necessary (isolation voltage ≤1500Vdc); 3.Where do not has high requirement of line regulation and the ripple & noise of the output voltage; 4.Typical application: digit circuit condition; normal low-frequency artificial circuit condition; relay drive circuit and data switching circuit condition, etc.

This series (UL60950/EN60950 approval) also offer continuous short-circuit protection, an operating temperature range of -40 to +105 degrees C and carry three-year warranty. They are rated for full power up to 85 degrees C and derate linearly to 80% of rated power at 105 degrees C. They are delivered in a compact SIP package with an industry-standard pin-out.
