Intersil Intros MightyMUX ISL84521/22/23 Switches
Intersil Corp. (Irvine, CA) announced three new additions to its MightyMUX™ analog switch line, the ISL84521, ISL84522 and ISL84523. The new quad switches are targeted for portable battery-powered equipment applications in which space and power consumption are concerns, and high-precision equipment used for medical, communications and testing applications.
Each IC contains four single-pole, single-throw configured switches and operate from a single 2V to 12V supply or a dual ±2V to ±6V supply. The ISL84521 has all normally closed switches, while the ISL84522 features all normally open switches. The ISL84523 has two normally open and two normally closed switches, which can be configured as a double-pole, double-throw switch or as dual two-to-one multiplexers. All devices can be used as switches or multiplexers.
Each of the new MightyMux switches is available in 16-lead SOIC, 16-lead TSSOP and 16-pad QFN packages. Products are available now. Pricing for quantities of 100 to 999 is $0.66 (ISL84521IB/ISL84522IB/ISL84523IB), $0.75 (ISL84521IV/ISL84522IV/ISL84523IV), and $0.85 (ISL84521IR/ISL84522IR/ISL84523IR). All devices are also available in tape-and-reel.
