ICC Unveils STL-1033 Lithium-Ion Charge Control

July 08, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

International Components Corp. (ICC, Chicago, IL) announced the introduction of the STL-1033 that combines charge control and a safety circuit into a single unit for one-cell, lithium-ion battery packs. The new board allows the charge control to become part of the battery pack design rather than being added separately.

In addition to wireless data modems for PDAs, the STL-1033 is also suitable for devices such as, hand-held barcode scanners and other portable devices using one-cell, lithium-ion batteries where size is a constraint. It allows the battery pack to be plugged into any wall outlet using a standard power supply, and the safety circuit ensures maximum battery performance and life.
