Holtek Extends TinyPower High-Accuracy Low-Dropout Voltage Regulators

With extra-low quiescent current and a high input voltage specification, Holtek Semiconductor, Inc. has announced the release of its new TinyPower™ low-dropout high-accuracy regulators, the HT71xx-2. This new series forms an extension to the already released HT71xx-1 device series. In comparison with the HT71xx-1series ±3% output voltage accuracy, this new HT71xx-2 series now has an enhanced output voltage accuracy of ±1%.

These enhancements to output voltage accuracy will now provide product designers with even more accurate and efficient power solutions. Holtek’s technology, with its low 2.5uA quiescent current, provides significant advantages in the area of battery life extension, an important factor in portable product applications. In also having a maximum input voltage of 30V and a maximum output current of 30mA, these LDO devices will appeal to a far and wide range of applications.

The HT71xx-2 series devices can be used in a diverse range of applications which require higher output voltage accuracies such as smart meters, smart security devices, sensing devices, measuring instrumentation, medical products etc.
