Global Power Technologies Group (GPTG) will be demonstrating the capabilities of their SiC power devices at APEC 2016 in Long Beach, CA, March 20-24 2016, in booth #1547. GPTG is an integrated development and manufacturing company dedicated to products based on SiC technologies and Amorphous Magnetic Materials. These products will be foundational to the power electronics and energy industries in future years where advanced technologies are needed for low cost, highly efficient power generation, conversion and transmission.

GPTG’s SiC Schottky diodes are rated from 600V to 1700V at up to 60A. The company’s SiC MOSFETs are scheduled to begin production in the third quarter of 2016 and will be rated for 600V and 1200V at up to 100A. SiC IGBT modules rated for 600V and 1200V can handle up to 80A.

Products being commercialized and under development include SiC epitaxial wafers and SiC discrete power devices, as well as SiC based power modules and subsystems for the EV/HEV, server, solar inverter, lighting, and power industries. Fast switching inductors based on novel Amorphous Magnetic Materials supporting SiC technology are also part of the GPTG technology portfolio.

Target applications for GPTG’s SiC devices include data center power converters, industrial power electronics, power transmission and distribution systems, alternative energy systems, transportation applications, military/aerospace designs and electric and hybrid-electric vehicles.
