Fairchild Semiconductor is offering designers of smart phones a SD card translating multiplexer that interfaces three different I/O levels between host and SD interfaces. The FXL3SD206 multiplexes between three voltage levels and three parts, saving valuable board space and minimizing design complexity.
This single device is said to replace a multiple chip solution in smart phone applications. With an optimal 24-pin UMLP footprint, this SD card multiplexer is well suited for space-constrained designs found in smart phones and other SD applications.
The FXL3SD206 is priced (each, 1000 pcs.) at $0.39, with a delivery of 8 weeks ARO.
