Extra Low Quiescent Current Low Dropout Voltage Regulators

Holtek Semiconductor, Inc. has announced its new extra low quiescent current TinyPowerâ„¢ low dropoutb> regulator series, the HT71xx-3. This new device range forms an extension to its already released HT71xx-1 device series. In comparison with the 2.5uA quiescent current of the HT71xx-1 series, this new HT71xx-3 series now has a lower quiescent current of only 1uA, which provides significant advantages in battery life extension for portable product applications.

The maximum output current of these new devices is 30mA.With an output voltage accuracy of ±2%, and a maximum input voltage of 30V, these power control improvements now provide product designers with even more ideal power solutions for a wide range of applications and products.

The HT71xx-3 series devices can be used in a diverse range of portable and other applications which require high output voltage accuracy such as smart meters, smart security devices, sensing devices, measuring instrumentation and medical products etc.
