EOS Introduces New MVLT80 Series Switching Power Supplies

EOS Corp. (Camarillo, CA) has introduced the MVLT80 Series of open-frame switching power supplies. The company claims that this series is the world's smallest and most efficient, medically certified, 80W, ac/dc switching power supply. It delivers more than 5.3W per cubic inch in a 3" x 5" x 1" footprint, and up to 85 percent or better efficiency.

The EOS MVLT products are ultra-miniature, high-efficiency power supplies. They are claimed to be very efficient in heat reduction by means of convection cooling that eliminates the need for space-consuming fans. The product family is available with eight- to 10-week lead times. Quad-output models sell at $89 in quantities of 100, and single-output versions sell at $70 in quantities of 100.
