DuraComm Announces Three New Series of Power Supplies Focusing on High Power

June 08, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

DuraComm Corp. debuted several new products. Among those were three new series of power supplies each with a focus on providing "high" power.

The DTHP (Desk Top High Power) Series replaces the company's LPHP Series (Low Profile High Power). The new models remain compatible with the company's LPH Hoods so that users can create "desk top base stations." They also offer the same short circuit, over load and over temperature protections as well as the heavy duty post output connectors. Amperage selections range from 10 to 40 (Continuous).

The RUR Series is the second of the new product introductions. It offers 1,000 Watts (Big Performance) in a 2 rack unit high (Small Size) that weighs only 6.5 pounds. This new series also has active surge current limiting as well as remote sense / on-off control (with a dc o.k. signal). Amperage choices range from 20 to 66 (Continuous).

Also making its debut was the SE Series of 1,000 Watt High Power Density Modules. While not a rack mount design, this set of products does offer the same current limiting and remote sense as the RUR Series, but is also UL Recognized. This particular set of power supply modules provides Maximum Amperage levels ranging from 20 for the 48 vdc model to 80 for the 12 vdc version.

Each of the new series comes with the standard 2 year DuraComm warranty.
