Desktop Supercharger from the Tesla Design Team

December 20, 2017 by Paul Shepard

The Desktop Supercharger scale model was officially commissioned by Tesla. Every detail was meticulously overseen directly by the Tesla Design Team in California.

The same 3D CAD data used to manufacture the actual Supercharger was used to precisely replicate every detail, curve and surface found in the scale model. (USB cables not included.)

In addition, the company has introduced the Tesla Powerbank, designed and inspired after Tesla’s supercharger monument at the Tesla Design Studio. (the Powerbank is sold out until February, 2018).

The Powerbank includes a single 18650 cell with 3350mAh capacity. It has an input of 1800±200mA and an output of 5V/1.5A maximum. Dimensions are 108 x 30.5 x 23.3mm.

The single 18650 lithium-ion battery cell in the Powerbank was is the key element in the Model S and Model X battery packs. Rather than having 100kWh of battery capacity like the tesla EVs, the Powerbank has enough energy to power your standard iOS or Android mobile device.

The Tesla Powerbank features:

  • Compact Design
  • Integrated USB
  • Integrated Apple lightning and detachable micro USB
  • High efficiency circuitry to deliver maximum battery capacity
  • Charge status indicator
