Deltron Increases Power by 33% in 1U High LE Series Switchers

February 20, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Deltron Inc. has added three new LE Series models with voltage ratings of 12, 24 or 48V capable of delivering 400W in the same case size as the company's seven existing 300W models. This allows for convenient system expansion or improved system power density. Units can be used as individual modules placed within the customer’s equipment, or part of Deltron’s RA30A 1U racking system, where up to six LE Series units can be mounted for providing multiple voltages, or paralleled for hot pluggable N+1 redundant applications.

The LE Series ac-dc power supplies provide almost 11W per cubic inch of power density in a compact 1.58" H x 2.10" W x 11.32" SlimLine package. Units fit a wide range of industrial, front-end data, and telecom networking applications. A redundancy option with ultra low drop Or-ing circuit forms the basis of a hot-pluggable, redundant system.

Deltron offers a total of ten LE Series models that range in output from 1.8V at 56A, to 48V at 8.3A. Features of the LE Series include a 0.95 power factor, 80% typical efficiency, DC Good signal, OVP, and overload and short circuit protection. The power supplies are self-cooled, with an integral ball bearing fan, and feature heavy-duty hot-swap interface for convenient system integration, high reliability, and safety. Optional features are Hi-Temp and Fan Fail signals. All LE Series power supplies meet applicable international EMC and safety standards including EN 55022/CISPR 22, Class B Conducted, EN 61000-3-2 Class A, UL 60950, CSA 22.2 No. 60950, EN 60950.

LE Series 400 watt power supplies are available starting at $359 each with substantial discounts in OEM quantities. Delivery time is stock to 6 weeks.
