Conductive Aluminum Polymer Capacitors

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today introduced two new series of aluminum polymer capacitors featuring conductive technology. For portable electronics and consumer and telecom applications, Vishay BCcomponents 180 CPS (22- to 2700-µF)and 181 CPL (18- to 820- µF) series devices provide higher ripple current, lower impedance, and longer useful life than standard aluminum capacitors.

Offered in a variety of case sizes from 5.3mm by 5.3mm by 5.7mm to 10.4mm by 10.4mm by 12.6mm, 180 CPS and 181 CPL series capacitors offer long useful life of 2500h and 5000h at +105 degrees C, respectively. The devices deliver ripple current to 6100mA and impedance down to 9mΩ.

The 180 CPS devices are rated from 2.5- to 35-V, while the 181 CPS devices are rated from 4.0- to 35-V. Both series have an operating temperature range of -55 to +105 degrees C and a tolerance of ±20%. The RoHS-compliant, surface-mount capacitors can support automatic placement and high-temperature reflow soldering according to JEDEC.
