Coilcraft Debuts SPT Series SMT Power Inductors

Coilcraft Inc. (Cary, IL) introduced its new SPT Series of surface-mount power inductors, which have a profile of up to 0.7mm and a toroid winding that is claimed by the company to reduce stray electromagnetic emissions. The inductors are available in a standard series with a current rating of up to 8A, and a high-current series that handles up to 13.9A. Both versions are rated for operation over the -40 to +130 degrees C temperature range and are made with materials that meet the UL 94V-0 flammability rating.
