Central Semi Offers Enhanced Specification Series

Central Semiconductor Corp. (Hauppauge, NY) announced the release of a new series of discrete semiconductor devices with enhanced performance specifications. The Enhanced Specification Series devices, through the utilization of advanced wafer processing, have improved transistor specifications such as higher maximum voltage, higher hFE or lower VCE(SAT), and improved diode specifications such as lower VF or lower IR.

The following enhanced transistor devices are packaged in a surface-mount SOT-23 case:

the CMPT2222AE enhanced NPN transistor, the CMPT2907AE enhanced PNP transistor, the CMPT3904E enhanced NPN transistor, the CMPT3906E enhanced PNP transistor, the CMPTA14E enhanced NPN Darlington transistor, the CMPTA42E enhanced high-voltage NPN transistor, and the CMPTA92E enhanced high-voltage PNP transistor.

The following Enhanced diode devices are packaged in a surface-mount SOT-23 case: the CMPD914E enhanced, single, high-speed switching diode; the CMPD2836E enhanced, dual, common anode, high-speed, switching diode; the CMPD2838E enhanced, dual, common cathode, high-speed, switching diode; the CMPD7000E enhanced, dual, in series, high-speed, switching diode; the CMPSH-3E enhanced, single, schottky diode; the CMPSH-3AE enhanced, dual, common anode, schottky diode; the CMPSH-3CE enhanced, dual, common cathode, schottky diode; and the CMPSH-3SE enhanced, dual, in series, schottky diode.

Enhanced devices are also planned for the SUPERmini™ SOT-323 and SOD-323 family, the ULTRAmini™ SOD-523, SOT-523 and SOT-363 family, and the new PICOmini™ SOT-563 family. The devices are available in either bulk packaging or in 3,000-piece quantities on 7in tape-and-reel packaging. Pricing starts at $0.06 each for 3,000 pieces on a 7in reel.
