Central Intros Ultra-Fast and Schottky Rectifiers at APEC

March 23, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

At this week's IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) in Dallas, Texas, Central Semiconductor Corp. announced the release of the new CMMSH1 series of 1.0A Schottky rectifiers and the CMMR1U series of 1.0A Ultra Fast rectifiers both in the flat lead SOD-123F surface mount package.

This new series of Schottky rectifiers has peak repetitive reverse voltages of 20V (CMMSH1-20), 40V (CMMSH1-40), 60V (CMMSH1-60) and 100V (CMMSH1-100). The CMMSH1 series is suitable for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, entertainment, computer, and automotive applications requiring an energy efficient small surface mount Schottky rectifier. Typically these rectifiers are packaged in the much larger SMA case. The CMMSH1 series in the SOD-123F utilizes 49% less board space than the SMA, and has a 57% lower profile.

CMMR1U series of 1.0A Ultra Fast rectifiers has peak repetitive reverse voltages of 200V (CMMR1U-02), 400V (CMMR1U-04), and 600V (CMMR1U-06). The maximum reverse recovery time (trr) is 35ns for the CMMR1U-02, 50ns for the CMMR1U-04, and 75ns for the CMMR1U-06.

The CMMR1U series is suitable for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, entertainment, computer, and automotive applications requiring a very fast reverse recovery time. Typically these rectifiers are packaged in the much larger SMA case. The CMMR1U series in the SOD-123F utilizes 49% less board space than the SMA, and has a 57% lower profile.

These rectifiers are available bulk packed or 3,000 pcs on 7" tape & reel. Prices for the CMMSH1 series start at $0.12 each for 3,000 pcs on a 7" reel. Prices for the CMMR1U series start at $0.10 each for 3,000 pcs on a 7" reel. Sample devices are available upon request.
