Celestica Debuts New S007/S016 DC/DC Converters
Celestica Inc. (Toronto, Ontario) announced the launch of a series of cost-effective, 12V input, non-isolated, dc/dc converters with SIP-style packaging for use in server and enterprise communications equipment. The new S007 and S016 high-density converters offer a compact design, providing a 50-percent improvement in system motherboard real estate over traditional form-factor, point-of-load SIPs.
The S007 converter delivers 8A of output current and is available in a 1.2in x 1.1in x 0.39in form factor. Available in a 1.2in x 1.1in x 0.45in form factor, the S016 converter delivers 16A at 1.2V to 1.5V, 13A at 1.8V to 2.5V, 11A at 3.3V, and 9A at 5V. Targeted at computer, communication and storage OEMs, the new SIP converters meet the increased demand for 12V input converters with a range of programmable output voltages; 1.0V to 5.0V with a single resistor for the S007, and 1.2V to 5.0V with a single resistor for the S016. With high mean time between failure characteristics, a range of 3.6 million to 5.4 million hours, and power-good and enable signals, both the S007 and S016 provide a complete system solution for OEM customers.
The S007 and S016 are available now. Pricing starts at $8.50 for the S007 and $11 for the S016 on an annual purchase of 1,000 units.
