Calex Announces 5SR75.5SN DC-DC Converter

Calex Manufacturing Co. Inc. (Concord, CA) announced its new 5SR75.5SN non-isolated, 5 A output dc-dc converter, packaged in an industry-standard, surface-mount configuration, which offers a user-selectable output-voltage range between 0.75 Vdc and 3.63 Vdc. The input-voltage range for the unit is 3.0 Vdc to 5.5 Vdc. The 5SR75.5SN, packing up to 15 W in a compact 0.8 in x 0.45 in x 0.245 in package, is suitable for PCB layouts with limited space.

The 5SR75.5SN features remote ON/OFF for energy-sensitive applications, output voltage trim, input under-voltage lockout, continuous short-circuit protection, a set point accuracy of ±2.0% of Vout, total accuracy of 3.0% of Vout, load regulation of 1% from 0 A to 1 A and 0.5% from 1 A to 5 A on the output, line regulation over the entire input range of 22 mV, output noise of typically 35 mV peak-to-peak as measured over a 20 MHz bandwidth, a switching frequency of 300 kHz, an ambient operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C, and a mean time between failure of >3 million hours.
