Caddock Electronics Launches Model MP2060 Resistor

May 20, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Caddock Electronics Inc. (Riverside, CA) launched the new Model MP2060, a clip-mount TO-220-style power film resistor. The resistor has a power rating of 60W at 25 degrees C. The device is suitable for use in high-frequency power-switching circuits, including snubbers and RF terminations. With resistance values as low as 0.005ohms, the MP2060 can be used for high-current sensing applications, up to 60A continuous, in motor control and power supply circuits.

Standard resistance values and tolerances are available from 0.005ohms, ±five percent, from 0.10ohms ±two percent, and from 0.020ohms to 1K ±one percent. The devices feature a ceramic mounting surface for high thermal conductivity connection to a heatsink. The resistor element is isolated from the mounting surface and the device features a non-inductive design.
