Beta Dyne Intros FSR6 Series Switching Regulators
Beta Dyne Inc. (Bridgewater, MA) introduced its new FSR6 Series of 30 W maximum, wide-input/wide-output, step-down, switching regulators, which consists of eight models and offer an output power range from 2 W to 30 W, a wide input-voltage range from 9 Vin to 28 Vin and a wide output-voltage range from 3.3 Vout to 12 Vout.
The FSR6 Series feature regulated, adjustable output voltages (up to 5:1 for the 5 Vout models), efficiency up to 97%, over-load protection (125% full-load typical), continuous short-circuit protection, on/off control, a 250 kHz switching frequency, and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C. The eight models are differentiated by an output current of either 1 A or 2 A.
The case and pins are available in either vertical or horizontal configurations, and come housed in an industry-standard, 12-pin, SIP package measuring 1.27 in x 0.59 in x 0.36 in (32.20 mm x 15.00 mm x 9.10 mm). Units are available in four to six weeks ARO. Prices start at $11.10 for the FSR61XX and $11.70 for the FSR62XX. Discounts are available for larger quantities.
