Bear Power Debuts BP3 Series AC-DC Power Supplies

Bear Power Supplies (Phelps, NY) debuted its new BP3101012C ac-dc power converter, a product in its new BP3 Series, which features a mini-IEC input connector and detachable line cord for ac power input. This patent-pending design eliminates exposed high-voltage electrical connections from the system designer’s printed circuit board, improving safety and simplifying the system design, testing, and certification tasks.

The compact power modules have a wide full-load operating temperature range of -40 °C to +70 °C for use in commercial, industrial, and medical systems. They measure approximately 2 in x 3 in x 1 in, and are offered in both PCB-mountable and chassis-mountable packages. Standard output power is 5 W, 10 W, and 15 W, with custom output power available on request.

The encapsulated power supplies carry the CE mark and are TUV-tested to meet industry-standard certification requirements for performance and safety. The power supplies are available from stock, starting at $30 each in volume.
