ASI Announces Parallel Versions of DIN Power Supplies

August 29, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

Automation Systems Interconnect Inc. (ASI) has recently expanded its broad line of modular DIN rail mounted power supplies to include parallel (P) versions. The new parallel versions feature internal ORing diodes and an alarm contact which makes them suitable for redundant and back-up applications.

The new parallel versions offer a 24Vdc output in both single-phase and three phase inputs with 3, 5, 10, 20 and 30A capacity. In addition these power supplies feature an auto-ranging input, wide operating temperature range, high efficiency and UL508C listing along with several other unique features. The compact size, pluggable terminations, and other features including short circuit, overload, over temperature and input/output protection makes these power supplies (according to ASI) one of the most reliable and easy to use on the market.

With the addition of these parallel versions the ASI line of DIN rail mount power supplies includes 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48Vdc models, IP65 fully protected models (also now available in a parallel version) and a wide range of output capacities from 1 to 40A.
