APT Intros 2729-170 S-Band Transistors

Advanced Power Technology Inc. (APT, Bend, OR) announced the next in its series of high-power, S-band transistors, the 2729-170, which utilize newer chip designs and processing enhancements to offer performance improvements, notably in power gain and gain flatness over the frequency range.

The 2729-170 is rated with an input power of 25.7 W provide a minimum power output of 170 W over the band of 2.7 GHz to 2.9 GHz. The 2931-150 is rated with an input power of 21.7 W to provide a minimum power output of 150 W over the band of 2.9 GHz to 3.1 GHz. The higher output power allows the designer to reduce the number of high-power transistors needed in order to produce amplifiers with multi-kilowatt output.

Small-volume pricing of 1 to 24 pieces is $450.56 for the 2729-170, and $394.24 for the 2931-150. Product availability is from 6 to 12 weeks, or sooner, pending stock.
