AMETEK Introduces Remote UPS Monitoring System
AMETEK Solidstate Controls (SCI) has introduced SAiGE, which the company describes as a groundbreaking remote uninterruptible power supply (UPS) monitoring system well suited for the power generation, petrochemical, chemical, offshore oil and gas, and other process control industries.
SAiGE connects seamlessly with AMETEK SCI’s UPS line of products (Both Ferro and PWM). With SAiGE, all of the alarms and notifications from a UPS can be accessed remotely. Moreover, SAiGE works in combination with SCI’s revolutionary CellRx® battery monitoring system, creating an environment where all power systems can be monitored remotely from a single screen. Together, these monitoring systems are said to provide a complete monitoring solution for both your UPS and battery needs.
SAiGE can connect through TCP/IP as well as Modbus, thus enabling the UPS data to be fed into custom systems. With TCP/IP, the data can be accessed anywhere in the world over a standard Ethernet line. The data can be viewed in a web-browser with clean; clear, concise tabs displaying alarms, measurements and the password-protected ability to change configuration parameters. Due to the small size that fits discreetly into the UPS and the multiple modes of communication that give rise to real-time monitoring and alarms, the SAiGE UPS monitoring system is quickly gaining ground amongst our biggest clients.
