Advance Galatrek Intros MasterElite MultiTec MRT UPS

June 26, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Advance Galatrek (UK) announced its latest three-phase, uninterruptible power system (UPS) designed to deliver sinewave power protection up to 30kVA, the MasterElite® MultiTec® MRT UPS, which offers highly flexible power protection, and is suitable for use in LANs, servers, data and communications centers, Internet applications, and medical environments.

The new MRT UPS is available in capacities up to 30kVA, and is available as a three-phase-in/three-phase-out unit. The MasterElite uses dynamic input and output filters to protect the load from upstream electrical pollution, and provides spike and electrical noise protection even when the unit is in static-bypass mode. In economy mode, the MultiTec circuitry mimics the characteristics of a digital line-interactive UPS with the load being powered through dynamic filters, enabling the inverter to remain active, but not powering the load until the mains fluctuates or fails suddenly. Overall efficiencies exceeding 98 percent are achievable, resulting in a reduction in overall wear and tear on the UPS assemblies. The MasterElite delivers high-quality mains power down to 140Vac, while providing ride-through capability that allows it to handle mains power failures of up to 40ms, without switching to battery power.
