Advance-Galatrek Intros LineUPS-R Series UPS
Advance-Galatrek (UK) introduced its latest 19in, rack-mounted, microprocessor-controlled, 2,200 to 5,000VA LineUPS-R Series of digital, line-interactive, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), which offer compact protection for a variety of applications, including medium-size networks, LANs, point-of-sale and servers. Line-interactive circuitry is featured across the range, providing a versatile and cost-effective alternative to the more costly on-line UPS solutions traditionally offered in these sectors.
The LineUPS-R Series operates as a line-interactive UPS and automatically switches to battery mode when the input voltage falls outside acceptable parameters. The range also features a wide-input, automatic voltage stabilizer that handles mains voltage problems, including sags, surges and brownouts. Advance Galatrek's PowerShield2® UPS management software permits remote monitoring of the UPS, including battery condition, remaining charge and operational status. The software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me and NT and Novell operating systems.
The LineUPS-R also incorporates Advance Galatrek's innovative Cold-Start technology, which enables the UPS to power-up straight from its own batteries, without any mains intervention, in the event of a mains failure. The LineUPS-R can power voltage-sensitive loads without any interruption, and a sinewave supply on the inverter of less than two-percent harmonic distortion allows the LineUPS-R to protect loads from potential damage caused by unforeseen variations in the power supply, including spikes and electrical noise.
