Absopulse Releases Power Supplies Designed For Industrial & Other Harsh Environments

New Products Jan 23, 2008 by Jeff Shepard

Absopulse Electronics has released its BAP 200 series, described as a rugged, industrial dc-dc converter designed for operation in demanding environments. This 200W unit employs the same topology as the company’s push-pull power supplies, however, it has been re-engineered to allow for automated production, which is said to contribute to an excellent cost/performance ratio.

Standard output voltages are 12, 24, 48 and 125Vdc, and the unit accepts inputs of 24, 48 and 125Vdc. Features include full electronic protection and filtering to meet EN 55022 Class B. The BAP 200 is said to be ruggedly constructed to withstand high levels of shock and vibration. It is conduction and convection cooled via the base plate and performs to full specification at temperatures from -20 to +55°C, with appropriate cooling. Standard versions of the BAP 200 are available as stock items.

The BAP 200 is priced at US$187 at quantities of 100.
