Absopulse Releases 2000 - 6000VA Sine Wave Output Modular Inverter System

August 05, 2008 by Jeff Shepard

Absopulse Electronics has released its CSI 2K-6KM series, a rugged, sine-wave output inverter system designed for operation in industrial, oil and gas, mining, mobile, utility, telecom and other heavy duty environments. This modular inverter system can be factory configured for any output power from 2 to 6KVA. It provides output voltage of 115Vac continuous at 60Hz or 400Hz, or 230Vac continuous at 50Hz and can be operated from 24, 36, 48, 125 or 250Vdc supply voltages.

In the interests of efficient shipping and on-site maintenance, the CSI 2-6KM system is comprised of power modules housed in a number of separate cases. A few modules perform the dc-dc conversion, the main module performs the dc-ac conversion. This modular approach also offers a degree of redundancy on the dc-dc section. The modules can be arranged in any configuration that provides the best space utilization for the customer’s application. The system can also be configured for 19" rack mounting.

The CSI 2-6KM is fully protected on the input and output. The system is filtered to meet EN55022 Class A EMI as a minimum and it is designed to meet international safety standards including EN60950 and related UL and CSA requirements. Versions compliant with EN 50155 railway standards are also available.

Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for applications requiring immunity to extreme levels of shock, vibration, humidity, moisture and airborne contaminants. Remote shut-down, an output fail alarm (Form C), custom input/output voltages, as well as EN55022 Class B are also available as options.
