Absopulse Intros VRU61 Power Supply Module

Absopulse Electronics Ltd. (Carp, ON) released the VRU61, a high-grade, low-cost, plug-in, Euro-cassette module measuring 3U x 8HP x 160mm. Filtered to meet EN55022 curve B, with output noise 0.2 percent of output voltage, the power supply would be designed into a 19in rack-mount system for EMI sensitive industrial, telecom, computer and utility applications.

The single-output unit delivers 5Vdc at 12A, 12Vdc at 5A or 24Vdc at 2.5A from a universal input of 90Vac to 264Vac (47Hz to 63Hz. The VRU61 can also be customized for various other output voltages. Line and load regulation are 0.5 percent combined from no load to full load. Input protection is via a built-in fuse, and output protection includes current limiting with short-circuit protection. The VRU61 is convection cooled and rated for operation at 0°C to 50°C.

The VRU61 fully enclosed cassette version is priced at $140 at quantities of one to four, and the partially open version is $126.
