Absopulse Electronics Intros HBL1000 AC-DC Power Supply
Absopulse Electronics Ltd. (Carp, Ontario, Canada) introduced its new HBL1000 ac-dc power supply, which was developed for operation in industrial, transportation, and other heavy-duty environments where a low-profile design and regulated power are required. The HBL1000 provides standard outputs of 24 Vdc/41 A, 28 Vdc/35 A, 48 Vdc/20 A, 54 Vdc/18 A, or 125 Vdc/8 A with a jumper selectable 115 Vac/230 Vac (±15 percent) input at 47 Hz to 63 Hz. The unit can be modified to accept a 250 Vdc (180 Vdc to 370 Vdc range) input.
Depending on input/output requirements, the HBL1000 can be configured to deliver up to 1,500 W. Power-factor correction up to 1,500 W is also available. An optional redundancy diode allows for parallel connection to achieve higher output power or N+1 redundancy, a feature that also makes the unit suitable for battery-charging applications. Fan cooled and rated for operation at full power from 0 °C to 50 °C without de-rating, the HBL1000 can also be adapted for –40 °C to +65 °C environments. Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for applications requiring immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, airborne contaminants, and insects. The power supply is housed in a 2U x 11 in x 11.5 in chassis and weighs 5 kg.
In addition to full electronic protection and input/output filtering, the HBL1000 is designed to meet international safety standards, including EN55022, EN60950, and related UL and CSA requirements. The HBL1000 is priced at $620 for quantities of 100.
