Absopulse Delivers 1kW with 0.97 Power Factor
Developed for industrial and other heavy-duty applications requiring a power factor corrected (PFC) input, Absopulse Electronics' PFCF419 ac-dc power supply delivers up to 1,000W from a 90 to 264 Vac (47 to 420 Hz) universal input. It is rated for an output of 24Vdc at 42A or 48Vdc at 21A continuous duty, with other outputs available upon request. A 12Vdc at 80A version is in progress.
The PFCF419 utilizes asynchronous technology for the PFC-input stage and half-bridge topology after the input stage. The power factor is corrected to a minimum of 0.97 at full load for the entire input range in compliance with the EN6100-3-2 directive for low input harmonic distortion. It is filtered to meet EN55022 Class A EMI requirements as a minimum and, with additional (optional) filtering, will meet Class B EMI.
Features include output ripple/noise of less than 1% peak-to-peak, combined line/load regulation of less than ±1% from zero load to full load, active inrush current limiting and overvoltage protection. Minimum efficiency is 80% at full load.
The PFCF419 is fan-cooled and rated for full specification for temperatures of 0°C to 50°C, with extended temperature ranges available. It is housed in a robust 7.3" x 13.8" x 2.6" enclosure and weighs 2.9kg.
The PFCF419 standard model is priced at US$724 for quantities of 1-4.
