Aavid Thermalloy Introduces Turbo Fin Liquid Cooling Solution for Power Applications
Aavid Thermalloy, LLC announced the availability of its thermal performance Turbo Fin liquid cold plates for power applications. Turbo Fin Liquid Cold Plates are designed for Engineers seeking a cost effective high volume solution for challenging power density applications. Aavid’s latest cold plates increase the surface area in contact with the cooling fluid by using fin structures in the flow paths to increase thermal transfer properties. The result is a cold plate with thermal performance capabilities which makes the solution suitable for cooling the latest high power IGBT. The passage design puts a large area of fluid in contact with the base plate resulting in more uniform heat transfer.
Turbo Fin cold plates are said to be easily configured for custom applications. Length and width can be varied and the fluid flow paths can be altered to provide necessary space for device mechanical attachment. The cold plates are manufactured from aluminum and constructed using vacuum brazing for leak free and contamination free operation. RoHS compliant AavSHIELD finishes are available for corrosion protection.
Prices start at $187.12 for OEM quantities of 100 pcs and samples are available upon request. Production quantities are attainable with standard lead times of 6-8 weeks.
