6 Watt, High-Isolation DC-DC with 4:1 Input

ConTech, a Division of Calex, announces the DPZ Series of dc-dc converters. The DPZ Series offers up to 6 Watts of fully-regulated output power with an industry standard DIP footprint. The series offers a 4:1 input range with nominal input voltages of 24Vdc and 48Vdc. Single outputs offered are 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15-, and 24-Vdc. Dual outputs are ±5-, ±12- and ±15-Vdc.

The DPZ series has dc Isolation of 3000Vdc and has CSA 60950 agency approval. The operating ambient temperature range of the DPZ series is -40 to +85 degrees C. The 3.3-Vdc and 5-Vdc units are rated for full power to 60 degrees C and the other units are rated for full power to 70 degrees C. Both derate linearly to zero Watts at 100 degrees C. To avoid exceeding the maximum temperature rating of the components inside the power module, the case temperature must be kept below 100 degrees C.

The unit is encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in a non-conductive UL94V-0 rated plastic case. The DPZ series is RoHS compliant. These convection-cooled dc-dc converters measure 1.25 x 0.80 x 0.40 inches (31.8 x 20.3 x 10.2 mm) and weigh 12.7 grams.
