Aimtec has announced the AM2DS-NZ, 2-W series dc-dc unregulated converters. AM2DS-NZ feature continuous short-circuit protection with automatic recovery restart. The restart feature will work continuously until the short-circuit condition is cleared protecting the converter, the load and the converter's input circuit and source from extremely high currents caused by output short circuits.
Supported input voltages are 5-, 12-, 15- and 24-Vdc with single or dual output voltages of ±3.3-, ±5-, ±9-, ±12-, ±15- and ±24-Vdc. The AM2DS-NZ series is offered with input-output isolation of 1500 or 3000 Vdc, operates at an ambient temperature range of -40 to +105 degrees C (derating above 85 degrees C) and is available in a compact SIP7 package (19.6 x 7.0 x 10.0 mm).
AM2DS-NZ converters are designed for versatility and easy integration into a multitude of applications such as digital, low-frequency analog and relay drive circuits in industrial, communication and computer systems.
