14.4 to 154 Vdc Input 20W DC-DCs with 10ms Hold-up
During electronica 2014, AUTRONIC Steuer- und Regeltechnik GmbH will be introducing the HPBC20 dc-dc converters for PCB mounting with an ultra-wide input voltage range between 14.4- and 154-Vdc with an output power of 20W. Now, a single device suits for all international on-board power supply voltages of rail vehicles (24V, 36V, 72V and 110V) including the +/- 40% tolerance required according to EN 50155. Consequently, this ultra-wide solution is very interesting for companies with Europe-wide activities, since one converter is sufficient for the qualification of modules.
It complies with EN 50155 regarding temperature (TX), shock, vibration, as well as the railway specific criteria for surge, burst and ESD without additional components. Moreover, the converters have an integrated hold-up time of 10ms (Class S2). A high degree of efficiency (approximately 87%) is achieved by the combination of booster and single forward converter at the optimized operating point.
The converters have an over-voltage protection and excess tempera-ture protection as well as reverse polarity protection. Beside the version with 5V output a version with 12V will follow soon. For other outputs please contact the factory. These converters measure 65 x 53 x 20 mm.
