10kW Power Supplies Operate in Parallel for More Power
Mean Well Enterprises Co. Ltd. has unveiled the RST-10000 ac-dc power supply that delivers up to 10KW by one single unit; moreover, 20KW can be achieved with 2 units by means of the parallel function. RST-10000 accepts 3-phase ac input. The the nominal output voltages offered are 24/36/48Vdc. The output voltage and current can be adjusted with an external dc voltage control, to meet the voltage trimming requirements for various applications, enhancing system performance. Targeted applications include those in need of high operating power, such as automation equipment and machinery, industrial control system, large scale charging system, laser cutting machine, cloud storage system, telecommunication central office system, and etc.
Key features include: 3-phase ac input（3Φ 3-wire/△ 196~305Vac or 3Φ 4-wire/ Y 340~530Vac); Built-in active PFC function; Efficiency up to 91%; Vo can be trimmed between 20% and 120% of the rated voltage with a 1- to 6-Vdc external control signal; Io can be trimmed between 20% and 100% of the rated current with a 1- to 5-Vdc external control signal; Forced air cooling by built-in fan with speed control function; Built-in remote ON/OFF control and remote sense function; Built-in 12V/0.1A auxiliary output for remote control; Alarm signal output: AC fail, DC OK, fan fail, over temperature protection
Protection functions include: Overload (“continuous constant current limiting†mode or “constant current limiting with delay shutdown after 5 seconds†mode) / Short circuit / Over voltage / Over temperature; These units carry approvals from UL / CUL / TUV / CB / CE. They measure 540 x 424 x 83.5mm and come with a 5-year warranty.
