VPT Offers New Power System Design and Assembly

November 17, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

VPT Inc. (Blacksburg, VA) introduced a new custom power design and assembly service that provides a fast and affordable design and build channel for companies that require custom power systems for high-reliability applications. The new design system begins with an off-the-shelf line of dc-dc power converters and EMI filters, many of which are military qualified to the demanding requirements of MIL-PRF-38534 for airborne applications.

"We've provided custom power design and assembly for years upon special request," said VPT Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Michael Bosmann. "Now, with a complete foundation of standard power conversion products in our arsenal, we're able to offer this service on a wider scale. Our design team is experienced, we're compliant with hi-rel markets, and utilizing our standard products as building blocks enables us to deliver a custom power supply in a very short timeframe at a reasonable cost."
