Valere Appoints Onibudo for Africa/Middle East Project

April 29, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Valere Power Inc. (Richardson, TX), a maker of power systems for the wireless and broadband sections of the telecommunications industry, announced that it has hired Babatunde (Bill) Onibudo to lead the company’s expansion into Africa and the Middle East as vice president of international business development. He will be based in Valere Power’s headquarters and will report to Andy Marsh, Valere Power president and CEO.

Many countries on the African continent are seeing dramatic expansion of wireless telephone networks to provide basic telephone service to a very large, untapped base of consumers. Onibudo will direct the company’s market development activities in these countries, including product development and sales channel expansion.

"With the growing demand for wireless infrastructure in Africa, we see an opportunity to leverage the success we have had in wireless networks in the US, Europe and Asia to grow dramatically in that market," said Marsh. "Bill is uniquely suited for the job because he has the technical skills to ensure our products meet local needs, and the ability to develop the partnerships we will depend on for sales success."
