V-Infinity Offers 3D DC-DC Converter Models for Engineers

July 18, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

V-Infinity LLC (Beaverton, OR) announced that it is now offering the majority of its dc-dc converters, over 1,500 individual converters in all, in three-dimensional models. Available online at the company's website, users will be able to configure, view, and download three-dimensional models in many of the major mechanical CAD formats for free, eliminating unnecessary data-conversion costs and delays.

Available formats include SolidWorks®, Pro/Engineer®, AutoCAD®, and Mechanical Desktop®, among others. The dc-dc converters, including standard bricks, point-of-load units, and a number of encapsulated board-mount models, can be dropped directly into a product’s design to check compatibility in just a few mouse clicks. This enables the engineer to easily test the form and fit of a converter, ultimately shortening the design cycle.
