Tyco's Raychem Division Completes UL Total Certification Program Qualification

March 01, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Tyco Electronics Corp. (Menlo Park, CA) announced that its Raychem circuit protection division has completed the qualification process for the UL Total Certification Program. Participation in this program will enable the company to accelerate product development cycles and thereby reduce time-to-market for its PolySwitch PPTC resettable fuse product line.

“Our investment in the staff resources, facilities and equipment needed to develop and qualify for this premium service will allow us to respond more quickly to customer and market requirements, while achieving the same level of safety evaluation provided by UL's traditional services," commented Mario Gomez, worldwide compliance manager of Raychem Circuit Protection.
