TXU Prices $516 Million of Common Stock

TXU Corp. (Dallas, TX) announced that it has priced its offering of 30.5 million shares of common stock at a public offering price of $14.75 per share. The company has granted, and the underwriters have exercised, an option to purchase an additional 4.5 million shares of common stock, also at $14.75 per share, to cover over-allotments. The common stock is expected to be issued on December 2, 2002. Net proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes, including the repayment of short-term debt.
