Toshiba America Names Matsuda Vice President of Discreet Business Unit

Toshiba America Electronics Components, Inc. (TAEC) announced the appointment of Tokuhiro Matsuda as vice president, business development of its Discrete Business Unit. With more than 20 years of experience within Toshiba Corp., Mr. Matsuda will oversee strategic marketing and application engineering operations for the company's discrete devices. This includes strategic business planning in addition to supervising TAEC's Discrete Business Unit.

Mr. Matsuda has been with Toshiba Corp. since 1983, and most recently served as senior manager of power devices for the Discrete Device Sales and Marketing Department, within the Discrete Semiconductor Division, Semiconductor Company of Toshiba in Japan. In that position, Mr. Matsuda planned and directed marketing budgeting and product allocation of power semiconductors. He has held numerous management positions with the company, including deputy manager of Toshiba Device Corp., and manager of the Discrete Device Sales and Marketing Department. He earned a degree in Commerce from Waseda University in Japan.
