Solectria CitiVan Added to New York State Bid List

June 26, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Solectria Corp. (Woburn, MA) announced that the Solectria CitiVan electric delivery truck has been added to the official New York State bid list. State agencies, as well as cities and towns in New York State, can now order the Solectria CitiVan with the same ease with which other fleet cars and trucks are procured.

"We are excited to offer this streamlined way for New York customers to obtain this pioneering truck," said Doug Alderton, national sales manager for Solectria. "Several organizations in New York, including the New York Power Authority, the US Postal Service, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, have already experienced considerable success with the CitiVan. With the purchasing process simplified, we expect that more public agencies will be encouraged to go electric."
