SMA America (Grass Valley, CA) announced the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) approval of its Sunny Boy 1,100W grid-tie inverter. The UL approval comes on the heels of UL’s recent approval of SMA’s Sunny Boy 700.
SMA now offers the Sunny Boy in 700W, 1,100W, 1,800W and 2,500W inverters for solar-electric photovoltaic installations. All units offer system modularity, and are grid-tie designed inverters suitable for residential or commercial photovoltaic applications.
