SatCon Technology Corp. (Cambridge, MA), a leader in power and energy management, announced that it has successfully completed the installation of its Rotary uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system at the Toronto facility of Deluxe Film Laboratories, the world's largest motion picture film-processing laboratory.
The 2.2MW UPS went through on-site testing and validation before it was functionally demonstrated by running the entire facility during normal production without external power from the utility grid to simulate a power outage similar to the one Toronto experienced this past August. The Rotary UPS will provide uninterrupted power to ensure that the film production process remains operational, even during power outages or service interruptions.
