RF Micro Devices Supplies Amplifiers for Palm i705

RF Micro Devices Inc. (Greensboro, NC) announced it has begun shipping GaAs HBT power amplifiers to Palm Inc. for use in the newly introduced Palm i705 handheld. The Palm i705 features always-on, secure e-mail access and web browsing via Google searches or URL entries. It also delivers classic palm personal information management features such as a date and address book, all combined in a compact design measuring 4.65in x 3.06in x 0.61in and weighing just 5.9oz.

Dave Norbury, president and CEO of RF Micro Devices, said, "We are extremely pleased to provide our power amplifiers to Palm, the largest maker of handhelds, for use in the Palm i705.
